Improvements
Balance:
- The poster’s balance leans slightly to the left due to the positioning of the line that goes through the poster. Similarly, in the video showcasing the components on the drone, there is a slight imbalance where the components are “pushed” towards the edge of the screen. This was caused by the last-minute removal of an informational box describing the components (which lead to visual clutter). Unfortunately, with a 25-hour render time, adjustments couldn’t be made in time.
Font:
- The sub headers could’ve had a more exciting font, but i couldn’t find anything better.
Emotion in the voice:
- .
Difficulty:
- Some terms are somewhat hard to understand like “situational awareness”, which could’ve been explained easier. However, this depends on the audience.
Communication:
- Tried covering a lot in a short video. An idea could be limiting the video to just explaining the components of the autonomous drone, or explaining the different use cases of autonomous drones.
Clarifications
Video: The video is made for YouTube as the targeted social media, and directed towards people with an interest in technology and drones. I have used free and open source 3D models, which are credited during the video and in the end credits. The renders are made in Blender.
Poster: This poster is directed towards people with an interest in drones, both racing and cinematic flying.
