Examples

If we want to change the rate from $48$ kHz → $32$ kHz. This can we done by a combination of Interpolation and Decimation.

The new rate will be

$$\text{ce}Rate=\frac{I}{D}{F}_x=F_y$$

Note: We first upsample, and then downsample. This is to prevent loss of information. See lecture slides ~20-30.
