Used to determine if we have Laminar Flow or Turbulent Flow, and is given by

Reynolds Number

$R_e=\frac{D}{A\nu }Q$ Where $\nu$ is the kinematic viscosity

• If $R_e>2000$ → Turbulent
• If $R_e<10$ → Laminar

When modeling with Basic Hydraulic Components, we get
